Abstrak

The potential for cash waqf in Indonesia is enormous, but its realization remains low, primarily due to insufficient public literacy and the lack of adequate psychological and social readiness to navigate digital transformation. This study aims to systematically examine the interrelationship between cash waqf literacy, psychological empowerment of waqf donors, and digital inclusivity in shaping cash waqf behavior in the digital age. The approach used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of ten national and international scientific articles published between 2020 and 2024, relevant to the themes of literacy, empowerment, and digitalization in the context of Islamic philanthropy. The synthesis results indicate that financial endowment literacy serves as the foundational basis for understanding the legal and value aspects of endowments, but it must be complemented by psychological empowerment to effectively drive the intention and actions of endowment giving. Psychological empowerment, through the dimensions of meaning, competence, self-determination, and impact, has proven to be a significant internal enabler. Meanwhile, digital inclusivity and social readiness function as external moderators that influence the effectiveness of literacy and empowerment in shaping waqf behavior. This study produced an integrative conceptual model that positions literacy as a cognitive predictor, empowerment as an affective-conative mediator, and digital inclusivity as a structural framework that supports waqf behavior. This study contributes theoretically to the development of a multidimensional approach to waqf literacy, while also providing practical recommendations for waqf institutions, regulators, and sharia technology developers to design transformative, empowering, and inclusive educational strategies.
